OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Odisha on the manner in which the administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple is to be regulated under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952.

2. The matter has been examined. Every executive officer of a temple carrying on the administration of a temple shall make an application in Form D to the Commissioner of Endowments within three hundred and sixty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the administration of a temple is undertaken, and the Commissioner of Endowments shall dispose of it within three hundred and sixty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Odisha.
