OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the management of a waqf by mutawallis is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001.
2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form A to the Waqf Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a waqf is undertaken, and the Waqf Tribunal shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
