OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Tourism Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the cultivation of land as tenant by tenants is to be regulated under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 14 to the Tahsildar within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the Tahsildar shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Punjab.
