OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The receipt of public funds by privates body funded by a public authority under the Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the receipt of public funds by privates body funded by a public authority is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971.

2. The matter has been examined. Every private body funded by a public authority carrying on the receipt of public funds shall make an application in Form D to the Lokayukta within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the receipt of public funds is undertaken, and the Lokayukta shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra.
