STANDING ORDER
To
All Patwaris,
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Finance Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Board of Revenue within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Patwari shall ensure that parcel of land is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Goa.
