STANDING ORDER

All Anganwadi Supervisors,

Subject: The temporary care of a child by a fit person by fit persons under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1993), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the temporary care of a child by a fit person by fit persons.

2. The matter has been examined. Every fit person carrying on the temporary care of a child by a fit person shall make an application in Form III to the State Commission for Women within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Anganwadi Supervisor shall ensure that protection order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Commission for Women within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
