STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020 (Telangana Act 9 of 2020), the Environment Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Settlement Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Telangana.
