STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 1985), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a critical facility carrying on the operation of a critical facility shall make an application in Form E to the Civil Defence Controller within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Civil Defence Controller within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
