OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The examination of documents as an expert by handwriting experts under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the examination of documents as an expert by handwriting experts is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955.

2. The matter has been examined. Every handwriting expert carrying on the examination of documents as an expert shall make an application in Form E to the Registrar within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the examination of documents as an expert is undertaken, and the Registrar shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
