OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The manufacture of assistive devices by manufacturers of assistive devices under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the manufacture of assistive devices by manufacturers of assistive devices is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of assistive devices carrying on the manufacture of assistive devices shall make an application in Form VIII to the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of assistive devices is undertaken, and the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
