OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 7 to the District Collector within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a rural water supply scheme is undertaken, and the District Collector shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
