STANDING ORDER

To

All Cantonment Executive Officers,

Subject: The erection of buildings near a defence work by owners of a building near a defence work under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982), the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the erection of buildings near a defence work by owners of a building near a defence work.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building near a defence work carrying on the erection of buildings near a defence work shall make an application in Form F to the Cantonment Board within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Cantonment Executive Officer shall ensure that stores is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Cantonment Board within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
