STANDING ORDER
To
All Village Accountants,
Subject: The cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall make an application in Form 2 to the Land Tribunal within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha.
