OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The publication of textbooks by publishers of textbooks under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the publication of textbooks by publishers of textbooks is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of textbooks carrying on the publication of textbooks shall make an application in Form H to the District Education Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the publication of textbooks is undertaken, and the District Education Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
