OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a cold storage by operators of a cold storage under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the running of a cold storage by operators of a cold storage is to be regulated under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cold storage carrying on the running of a cold storage shall make an application in Form A to the Registrar within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a cold storage is undertaken, and the Registrar shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
