OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The execution of relief works by contractors for relief works under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the execution of relief works by contractors for relief works is to be regulated under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for relief works carrying on the execution of relief works shall make an application in Form B to the State Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of relief works is undertaken, and the State Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat.
