OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Dealing in antiquities by dealers in antiquities under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which dealing in antiquities by dealers in antiquities is to be regulated under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in antiquities carrying on dealing in antiquities shall make an application in Form III to the Director of Tourism within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in antiquities is undertaken, and the Director of Tourism shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Kerala.
