STANDING ORDER

To

All Examination Controllers,

Subject: The imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Andhra Pradesh Act 1 of 1982), the Urban Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an open school carrying on the imparting of education through open learning shall make an application in Form A to the School Tribunal within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Examination Controller shall ensure that attendance register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the School Tribunal within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
