STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Director of Tourism,

Subject: The running of a camping site by licensees of a camping site under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1966), the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a camping site by licensees of a camping site.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a camping site carrying on the running of a camping site shall make an application in Form VIII to the Heritage Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Director of Tourism shall ensure that certificate of registration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Heritage Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
