Puducherry, dated the 10th May, 2021

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Housing Department, Government of Puducherry on the manner in which the occupation of land by occupants is to be regulated under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Puducherry.
