STANDING ORDER

All Seed Inspectors,

Subject: The culture of fish by fish farmers under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 21 of 1969), the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the culture of fish by fish farmers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every fish farmer carrying on the culture of fish shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Kerala within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Seed Inspector shall ensure that fertiliser is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Kerala within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala.
