STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,
Subject: Dealing in excisable articles by dealers under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in excisable articles by dealers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on dealing in excisable articles shall make an application in Form F to the Government of Punjab within ten days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that transport pass is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Punjab within ten days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Punjab.
