OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993.

2. The matter has been examined. Every service provider carrying on the provision of services to aggrieved persons shall make an application in Form VI to the State Commission for Women within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of services to aggrieved persons is undertaken, and the State Commission for Women shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
