OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a pre-school by operators of a pre-school under the Kerala Education Act, 1958, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the running of a pre-school by operators of a pre-school is to be regulated under the Kerala Education Act, 1958.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a pre-school carrying on the running of a pre-school shall make an application in Form D to the Board of Secondary Education within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a pre-school is undertaken, and the Board of Secondary Education shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
