STANDING ORDER

To

All District Magistrates,

Subject: The provision of access to a public building by owners of a public building under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018 (Maharashtra Act 62 of 2018), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of access to a public building by owners of a public building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a public building carrying on the provision of access to a public building shall make an application in Form VII to the Rehabilitation Council within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The District Magistrate shall ensure that roster is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rehabilitation Council within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
