STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Director of Education,

Subject: The imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 (Gujarat Act 8 of 2009), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an open school carrying on the imparting of education through open learning shall make an application in Form C to the Commission within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Director of Education shall ensure that examination is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commission within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Gujarat.
