STANDING ORDER

All Divisional Canal Officers,

Subject: The operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Housing Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a lift irrigation scheme carrying on the operation of a lift irrigation scheme shall make an application in Form G to the River Basin Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Divisional Canal Officer shall ensure that water course is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the River Basin Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Rajasthan.
