STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1954 (West Bengal Act 1 of 1954), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of West Bengal hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of West Bengal.
