STANDING ORDER

To

All Chiefs Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad,

Subject: The leasing of a village tank by lessees of a village tank under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the leasing of a village tank by lessees of a village tank.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village tank carrying on the leasing of a village tank shall make an application in Form 8 to the District Collector within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that tax receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
