STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Societies,

Subject: The conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 2013), the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for a religious fair carrying on the conduct of a religious fair shall make an application in Form B to the Endowments Tribunal within three hundred and sixty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Societies shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Endowments Tribunal within three hundred and sixty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra.
