OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Haryana Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Haryana on the manner in which the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers is to be regulated under the Haryana Excise Act, 1914.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form D to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the tapping of toddy is undertaken, and the Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Haryana.
