OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits under the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits is to be regulated under the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of animals within the municipal limits carrying on the keeping of animals shall make an application in Form F to the Town Planning Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of animals is undertaken, and the Town Planning Authority shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Kerala.
