STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Director of Tourism,

Subject: The running of a home stay by operators of a home stay under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1966), the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a home stay by operators of a home stay.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a home stay carrying on the running of a home stay shall make an application in Form IV to the Heritage Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Director of Tourism shall ensure that certificate of registration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Heritage Committee within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
