STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Registrars,

Subject: The certification of construction by architect certifying a projects under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017 (Tamil Nadu Act 42 of 2017), the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the certification of construction by architect certifying a projects.

2. The matter has been examined. Every architect certifying a project carrying on the certification of construction shall make an application in Form A to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Registrar shall ensure that register of projects is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
