OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The retail vend of liquor by retail vendors under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh on the manner in which the retail vend of liquor by retail vendors is to be regulated under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915.

2. The matter has been examined. Every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall make an application in Form D to the Excise Commissioner within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the retail vend of liquor is undertaken, and the Excise Commissioner shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
