OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a warehouse carrying on the storage of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form C to the Seed Certification Agency within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the storage of agricultural produce is undertaken, and the Seed Certification Agency shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Punjab.
