STANDING ORDER

To

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act, 1950, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act, 1950 (Andhra Pradesh Act 21 of 1950), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall make an application in Form 2 to the Tahsildar within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
