OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The transport of explosives by transporters of explosives under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the transport of explosives by transporters of explosives is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter of explosives carrying on the transport of explosives shall make an application in Form I to the Superintendent of Police within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of explosives is undertaken, and the Superintendent of Police shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
