STANDING ORDER

To

All Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The performance of rituals in a temple by archakas under the Madhya Pradesh Public Trusts Act, 1951, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Public Trusts Act, 1951 (Madhya Pradesh Act 30 of 1951), the Ports Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the performance of rituals in a temple by archakas.

2. The matter has been examined. Every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall make an application in Form D to the Board within three hundred and sixty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Charity Commissioner shall ensure that lease of trust property is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board within three hundred and sixty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
