OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972.
2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form C to the Rent Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government land on lease is undertaken, and the Rent Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
