STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors of Schools,

Subject: The running of a school library by managers of a school library under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Andhra Pradesh Act 1 of 1982), the Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a school library by managers of a school library.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manager of a school library carrying on the running of a school library shall make an application in Form H to the Regulatory Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Inspector of Schools shall ensure that recognition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Regulatory Authority within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
