STANDING ORDER

To

All District Social Welfare Officers,

Subject: The practice of a rehabilitation profession by rehabilitation professionals under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 45 of 1994), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the practice of a rehabilitation profession by rehabilitation professionals.

2. The matter has been examined. Every rehabilitation professional carrying on the practice of a rehabilitation profession shall make an application in Form VI to the District Level Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The District Social Welfare Officer shall ensure that grievance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Level Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
