OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The maintenance of a public register by keepers of a public register under the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the maintenance of a public register by keepers of a public register is to be regulated under the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a public register carrying on the maintenance of a public register shall make an application in Form E to the Grievance Redressal Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of a public register is undertaken, and the Grievance Redressal Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
