STANDING ORDER
To
All Medical Officers,
Subject: The manufacture of cosmetics by manufacturers of cosmetics under the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, 2007, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, 2007 (Karnataka Act 21 of 2007), the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of cosmetics by manufacturers of cosmetics.
2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of cosmetics carrying on the manufacture of cosmetics shall make an application in Form 20 to the State Medical Council within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. The Medical Officer shall ensure that batch is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Medical Council within fourteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka.
