STANDING ORDER
To
All Wild Life Wardens,
Subject: Dealing in wild animal articles by dealers in wild animal articles under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Forest Act, 1961 (Kerala Act 4 of 1961), the Environment Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in wild animal articles by dealers in wild animal articles.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in wild animal articles carrying on dealing in wild animal articles shall make an application in Form VII to the Chief Wild Life Warden within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. The Wild Life Warden shall ensure that transit pass is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Wild Life Warden within one hundred and twenty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Kerala.
