STANDING ORDER

To

All Child Welfare Officers,

Subject: The running of an open shelter by open shelters under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of an open shelter by open shelters.

2. The matter has been examined. Every open shelter carrying on the running of an open shelter shall make an application in Form VI to the District Child Protection Unit within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Child Welfare Officer shall ensure that case file is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Child Protection Unit within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
