OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The employment of women by employers of women under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the employment of women by employers of women is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of women carrying on the employment of women shall make an application in Form VIII to the Child Welfare Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the employment of women is undertaken, and the Child Welfare Committee shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
