OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries under the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries is to be regulated under the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every treasury carrying on the receipt and payment of Government moneys shall make an application in Form GFR 22 to the Government of Karnataka within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the receipt and payment of Government moneys is undertaken, and the Government of Karnataka shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka.
