OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection is to be regulated under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form E to the Director of Municipal Administration within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of solid waste is undertaken, and the Director of Municipal Administration shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Gujarat.
