OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The development of plots by owners of a plotted development under the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the development of plots by owners of a plotted development is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a plotted development carrying on the development of plots shall make an application in Form A to the Authority within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the development of plots is undertaken, and the Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
